Naked COPTIC Dancers COPTIC textiles were woven by Christian Egyptians in the 3rd to 12th centuries. Abstracted depictions of human and animal forms as well as stylized leaves and flowers started with the Islamic conquest in the 7th century. The tapestry-woven textiles are mostly cut out tunic fragments, executed in extremely fine weaving.
